Biological activity:

FlavokawainB (FlavokavainB) is a chalcone isolated from the root extract of Kava kava. It is an effective apoptosis inducer that inhibits the growth of various cancer cell lines.

(FlavokavainB) has strong anti-angiogenic activity.

(FlavokavainB) inhibits the migration and blood vessel formation of human brain endothelial cells (HUVEC) at very low, non-toxic concentrations.

Chemical properties:

Light yellow powder, soluble in methanol, ethanol, DMSO and other organic solvents, derived from the rhizome of Piper methysticum Forst.
